The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Tuesday, May 1, with a Mass in St. Anna Church, 199 Lancaster St., Leominster at 11:00am. Burial will follow in St. Leo’s Cemetery, Leominster.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 30, from 4-7pm in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg.

Fitchburg – Marguerite I. “Marge” (Coonan) Chiarelli, 90, of Fitchburg, formerly of Boylston, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2018 in Leominster Hospital.
Marge was born in Worcester, MA on January 14, 1928, the daughter of the late Herbert and Irma (Ellis) Coonan. She graduated from the Worcester Girl’s Trade School and established her career in Hairdressing. After marriage and raising her family, Marge worked part time for Van Brode Plastics in Clinton until her retirement.
Marge and her husband lived in Boylston for 50 years and spent winters in Ft. Lauderdale, FL for 35 years. Together they traveled extensively throughout Europe and across the unites states with their large extended family. Family was the most important aspect of Marge’s life. She loved greatly and was adored in return.
She was a longtime parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Clinton, and most recently of Saint Anna Church in Leominster. Marge will be fondly remembered for her skilled baking and wonderful home cooked meals, which she enjoyed sharing at family functions. Always active, Marge had taken up the game of golf in her later years. She will be greatly missed by all.
Marge is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, John Chiarelli of Fitchburg; her son John “Jack” Chiarelli and his wife Nancy of Palm City, FL; her daughter Tamie Chiarelli of Fitchburg; grandchildren, Carly Morrissette and husband Jon, Nicole Chiarelli, and Lindsey Chiarelli; two great grandchildren, Ethan and Zachary Morrissette.
She was predeceased by her six brothers, Warren, Herbert, Chester, Everett, Robert, and Raymond Coonan.
After marrying John, Marge was happy to be blessed with eight wonderful sisters, whom she loved dearly.
