It is with deep sorrow in our hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret E. Whitney, born on August 15, 1946, in Fitchburg, MA. Margaret died at home, surrounded by the love and support of her family after a long illness. Margaret, a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, left us on February 20, 2024, leaving a void that can never be filled. Her love, laughter, and resilient spirit will be forever remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Margaret was a woman of incredible strength and determination. She was an individual who embodied hard work, never shying away from a challenge. She was retired from Nypro in 2012 where she worked many years as a Quality Lab Inspector. She loved time with family and going on family trips. She especially enjoyed her time with her sister and best friend, Jeanne. Margaret had a deep love for animals, her pets, Joy, Sweetie, and Gabby, held a special place in her heart. She was a true friend to all creatures big and small. She also had a knack for home renovation and could often be found improving her residential home and loved living on the pond in, Gardner, MA. She enjoyed playing bingo and liked a challenging jigsaw puzzle or word search.
Margaret is survived by her children, Corinne Hillman and her husband, William, of Ashburnham, MA, Todd Whitney and his wife, Cynthia, from Washburn, TN and Aprille Laramie and her husband Peter, of Fitchburg. Her love and legacy also live on in her grandchildren; Kaela and Nicole Hillman; Aaron, Sarah, Charlotte, Ethan, Heidi, and Lily Whitney; and Marissa and Morgan Laramie. She leaves behind her sister Jeanne Connolly, and brothers Paul LeClair, his wife, Eileen, and David LeClair, his wife, Betty (Bunzo) and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Victor and Stella LeClair and her brother-in-law, James Connolly.
