Margaret Mary Miln, of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, passed away on February 4, 2024, at the age of 80. Born in Fitchburg on October 22, 1943, to her loving parents, Harold and Bertha Burns, Margaret was a proud graduate of Fitchburg High School. She dedicated many years of her life to the US Postal Service in Worcester, serving in the distribution center, where her work ethic and commitment were admired by all her colleagues. An avid reader, Margaret's curiosity about the world was endless, and she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from caring for animals to playing a good hand of cards or enjoying a trip to the casino.
She is survived by her daughters, Christine (Charles) Boutilier, Robin Makie, Cheryl (Robert) Roy, and Rhonda Cutler; her son, Robert Cutler; her step-son, Robert (Amy) Miln Jr; and her cherished grandchildren, Krystal Terranova, Trevor Allen, Jonathan Makie, Nathan Zanetti, Ashleigh Cutler, Jason Algarin, Tasha Perry, and six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Miln, Sr; her parents, Harold and Bertha Burns; her brother, Lawrence Burns; and her sister, Joan Burns.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, Massachusetts, 01420. A funeral mass will follow on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 1400 Main Street, Leominster, Massachusetts, 01453.
