Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Saturday, June 11, from 5 – 7pm. A celebratory service will be held at 7pm. Burial will be held privately.



OBITUARY Lunenburg – Margaret D. (Dockery) Brewer, 58, of Lunenburg, passed away June 9, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born in Framingham, MA on July 29, 1957, a daughter of the late Charles and Irma Whitney of Leominster, MA, born to the late Theo (Morse) Dakin. She was a 1975 graduate of Leominster High School, where she played trumpet in the high school band. Margaret was active in Girl Scouts as a girl and later as a Troop Leader in Girl Scouts Fitchburg Troop 758. She attended Fitchburg State College. Most recently, Margaret worked as a cashier for WalMart. She loved the beach and all animals. Margaret had a lifelong passion for sharing her love of gardening, having worked tirelessly in her many gardens. She leaves her husband George Brewer, Jr. of Lunenburg; son, Kyle A. Cote of Fitchburg; daughter, Shilou M. Kidder and husband Bill; her grandchildren Keith, Gregory, and Katrina Kidder, all of Ayer. Margaret also leaves her siblings, David Wales of Taunton, Benjamin Wales of Derry, NH, Steven Dakin of Worcester, and May Guilmette of Townsend.

Margaret was predeceased by her sister Barbara Bergeron in 1998.
