Margaret M. Charlton

September 30, 1949 — October 11, 2024

Canal Winchester, OH

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Margaret M. Charlton, also known affectionately as Peggy Charlton, on October 11, 2024. Born on September 30, 1949, in Fitchburg, MA, Margaret lived a life filled with love, compassion, and generosity. She was raised in Lunenburg and graduated from St. Bernard's High School in 1967. She spent her years cherishing her family and making the world a better place through her thoughtful actions and kind heart.

Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a retired loan officer, having dedicated many years to the banking industry. Beyond her professional life, she found joy and fulfillment in her hobbies which included crocheting baby blankets and sweaters, solving word searches, and attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events. In her younger years, she enjoyed sewing, coaching pop warner cheerleading, attending movies with friends, and immersing herself in a Daniel Steele romance novel.

Margaret is survived by her children, Toby (Wendy) LeBlanc of Taunton, MA, Torrey (Karen) LeBlanc of Fairhaven, MA, Ryan (Barbara) LeBlanc of Fuquay Varina, NC, and Kasey (Bart) Resendes of Canal Winchester, OH. She leaves behind a rich legacy in her grandchildren, Cassandra LeBlanc, Mason Caldwell, Anwen LeBlanc, Emily LeBlanc, Jack LeBlanc, Genovesa Resendes, Milan Caldwell, Taina Resendes, Talen LeBlanc, Katani Resendes, and Mya Medeiros-Resendes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Elizabeth Charlton, and her sister, Patricia Fallon.

Margaret's life was a testament to the quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson, "It is not length of life, but depth of life." She lived deeply, loving generously and thoughtfully. She will be greatly missed but her spirit will continue to live on through the cherished memories of her loved ones.

We encourage friends and family to share their memories and upload photos of Margaret to the memorial page.
