Leominster – Malcolm Robert LaVanway, 67, of Leominster, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 23, 2018.
Malcolm was born on October 30, 1950 in Burlington, Vermont, a son of the late Clarence E. and Barbara R. (Dalley) LaVanway. He worked for many years with KRT Construction and Crowley Associates until his retirement.
Malcolm was always very hardworking and active; he loved construction, yardwork, and was a true outdoorsman who loved dogs. He often went fishing, played softball and enjoyed golf. There was nothing Malcolm loved more than a family BBQ, where he’d relax and enjoy a few cold ones.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janice V. (Mancini) LaVanway; three sons, Robert P. LaVanway and wife Traci, Troy A. LaVanway, Jeffrey M. LaVanway and wife Stacey; two daughters, Melanie A. Ramadan, and Felicia M. LaVanway; 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Malcolm is also survived by his four brothers, Dennis “Denny” LaVanway, Harold “Mitch” LaVanway, Clarence LaVanway, Jr., and Daniel “Danny” LaVanway.
