The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Tuesday, May 31 with a Mass in Saint Leo’s Church, Leominster at 10am. Burial will follow in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery in Fitchburg. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 30 form 4-7pm in the funeral home.



OBITUARY Leominster – Lucy (Pallozzi) Ciuffetti, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, at the Life Care Center of Acton, surrounded by her three daughters. She was 96 years old. Lucy was born in Fitchburg on December 13, 1919. She was married to the love of her life, Anthony Ciuffetti on September 27, 1941. She leaves her three daughters, Diane Ciuffetti Geis of Lynnfield, Dorothy DeCosta and her husband Edward of Hampton Falls, NH, and Dale Ciuffetti Logan and her husband William of Leominster. Lucy was so proud of her grandchildren, granddaughter Lori DeCosta Dennis, Director of Nutrition at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Boston, and her husband Christopher Dennis MD of Arlington, grandson Anthony DeCosta, PharmD and his wife Cassandra DeCosta, PharmD of Westford, and Aiden Logan of Leominster as well as many nieces and nephews. Lucy led a full and exciting life. She loved to travel and have adventures. She enjoyed a rousing game of cards on a Saturday night with Flo and Jill, Louis and Tony. She worked to keep fit, be with her family, laugh and make friends. She attended Fitchburg High School. She was a lifelong member of St. Anthony de Padua parish in Fitchburg, and then Saint Leo’s Parish in Leominster in her later years, where she sang with gusto in the Choir. She loved to volunteer, giving her time to the Fitchburg Center for Brain Injured Children, the Massachusetts Association for the Blind, and the Red Cross. She was a volunteer at Burbank Hospital, and was a decorated 25 year veteran volunteer at Leominster Hospital. She and her husband Tony owned Picc’s Restaurant in Sterling from 1963-1972. Among her greatest achievements was that she attended Burbank Hospital School of Nursing and received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree in her 60’s.
