The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 16, from the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, with a Mass in Saint Cecilia’s Church in Leominster at 10:00am. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, May 15, from 4-6 pm in the funeral home.
Leominster – Lucille H. Sauvageau, 81, of Leominster, passed away peacefully on May 10, in the Dodge Park Rest Home in Worcester.
Lucille was born in Leominster on January 16, 1936, a daughter of the late Aristid and Lillian (Leger) Sauvageau. She attended Saint Cecilia’s Grade School, and graduated from Saint Bernard’s High School. For 33 years Lucille worked for the New England Telephone Co. as a secretary in the Construction Department. She loved to cross stitch, play Bingo, and most of all, travel.
She leaves three nephews, Francis Sauvageau and his wife June, Michael Sauvageau and his wife Gina, Stephen Sauvageau and his wife Beverly; a niece, Nancy Ellis and her husband Robert; sister in law, Emilda Sauvageau, all of Leominster. She is also survived by 13 great nieces and nephews and 5 great great nieces and nephews.
Lucille was predeceased by her brother Francis “Bucky” Sauvageau in 2009.
