It is with great sadness and an abundance of love that we announce the passing of Louise H. Girouard, a beloved mother (Ma), grandmother (Na-Na), and great-grandmother (Nanie).
Louise, born on February 15, 1942 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, was a beacon of light in countless lives, her warmth and kindness leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met. She passed away on September 1, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience.
Louise was the epitome of a life well-lived and loved. Known as Weezie Weeze, was well known for her tenacity and dedication, she spent a significant part of her life managing hotels in the hospitality industry before retiring. Her passion for service and her exceptional interpersonal skills made her a favorite among her colleagues and guests. In her retirement days she worked in the jewelry department at TJ Maxx. She absolutely loved this job as it combined her love for jewelry and people. However, it was outside the workplace where Louise truly shone. She loved the simple pleasures in life – sipping iced coffee with the dome lid, basking in the sun on the shores of Hampton Beach and Cape Cod, and dining on delicious Italian cuisine. Yet, what truly mattered most to her was family. Louise cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the apples of her eye.
Louise is survived by her devoted husband, Laurie Girouard; her loving children, Bob Lucas, Tina (John) Huntoon, and Tanya (John) Vedoe; her adored grandchildren, Virginia (Nick) Tedesco and Johnny Huntoon; and her precious great-granddaughters, Violet and Ruby Tedesco; her sisters, Virginia (Gordon) Trumbull and Connie Dunsworth; and her brother, Michael (Arti) Crepeau. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Virginia Mercik, her daughter, Michelle Henderson; sister, Charlotte Slaviik; and brother, Walter Mercik Jr. Each of these family members held a special place in Louise's heart, and she in theirs.
Louise Girouard lived a life that was rich in love and filled with beautiful memories. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
