It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Louis R. Bellabarba. Born on July 25, 1935, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts,
Louis was a pillar of the community and a man of many passions. He was a skilled machinist and spent many years working in the field, mainly at Crisci Tool and Die and TRW. In retirement, he worked part-time at St Anthony of Padua Church. A keen sportsman, Louis found joy in skeet and trap shooting, hunting, and fishing. His love for the outdoors extended to his hobbies of gardening and camping with his family. Ever the animal lover, Louis had a special place in his heart for all animals, particularly the neighborhood cats, and he found simple pleasure in watching and feeding birds.
A man of faith and fellowship, Louis was an integral part of St Anthony of Padua Church, earning the respect and camaraderie of his peers. His commitment to community was further exhibited through his membership in the Order of the Sons of Italy, the Leominster Sportsmen's Association, and the Rocky Pond Beagle Club.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Enrico and Pia Bellabarba, his beloved wife, Christine, his sons, Paul and David, his niece, Diana Bellabarba (Keep) and lifelong friend, Ralph Romano.
He is survived by his children, Michael and his wife Donna and Dennis and his wife Josette; his siblings, Harry and his wife Peggy and Gloria; his grandchildren, Justin and Felicia and her husband Nathan; and several nieces and nephews.
