The Funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Friday, February 3, with a Mass in Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union St., Leominster at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Friday prior to the Mass from 11am-12:30pm
OBITUARY
Fitchburg – Loretta (Kibort) Quastello, 91, passed away peacefully on February 1, in her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Leominster, where she had resided for four years.
She was born Leokadyia Kibort on February 23, 1925, in Fitchburg, the youngest child of the late David and Petranella (Pelibinski) Kibort. The love of her life, Thomas Quastello predeceased her on August 24, 1983, after 40 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her four older siblings, Gertrude Peloquin, Anthony Kibort, Wanda Putnam, and Walter Kibort.
Loretta leaves her daughter, Paula (Quastello) Leger and her husband Richard of Leominster. She also leaves her beloved granddaughter Tiffany Mia Leger Seddon and her husband William, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was fondly referred t0 as ‘Babcia’ among family and friends.
She attended St. Bernard’s Elementary School and St. Bernard’s High School in Fitchburg. She graduated from Henri’s School of Hair Design in 1987, after Foster Grant closed down. Loretta worked for Cormier Catering for 25 years and enjoyed “going to a wedding every weekend” as she used to say. She worked at Foster Grant in Leominster for 30 years in the sunglass division on the “mother’s shift” 5-11pm, where she made many lifelong friends-especially Josie and Catherine. She was a member and officer of the Sons of Italy for 30 years.
Loretta thoroughly enjoyed going to the Senior Center for Lunch every weekday in both Fitchburg and Leominster for over 20 years. While at the Fitchburg Center, she was the travel coordinator; going to Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun, and Atlantic City frequently.
She and her husband Thomas loved Caribbean Cruises and traveled to Europe, especially Italy and Poland.
The family would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Leominster Life Care Center, VNA Care Network and VNA Hospice, and Palliative Care of Woburn. Your services and support were greatly appreciated.
