Lois M. Boshans

FITCHBURG - Lois M. Boshans, a compassionate soul and a beacon of creativity, was born on July 29, 1953, in the small town of Templeton, MA. Her life was a colorful tapestry of love, devotion, and unwavering support for those she held dear. Lois passed away on August 14, 2023, leaving behind a rich legacy that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

Lois's life was an embodiment of thoughtfulness. She put her heart and soul into managing a retail store, where she was not just seen as a manager, but a friend and mentor to all. Her supportive nature extended beyond her professional life and into her personal life as well. She was a source of comfort for her family, always there with a listening ear and comforting words. Lois was a master in the art of living, from her adventurous spirit that led her to traverse the United States to fulfill her passion for bowling, to the joy she found in the company of her beloved cats, Trixie and Millie.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Karen McDevitt; daughter, Sheri Schwartzkopf; son, David Boshans; daughter, Becky Girouard; son, Robert Boshans; sisters, Marianne Flagg, Maralyn Hammonds, Linda Martin, and Christine Gauthier; and brother, Michael Gauthier. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Wiliam Boshans; father, Jean Gauthier; mother, Agnes Gauthier; sisters, Harriet Rogler, Jean Rocheleau, Theresa Flagg, and Ann Patriquin; and brothers, Charles Gauthier and Wilfred Gauthier. To each person in her life, Lois offered something unique, a piece of her boundless love, and a demonstration of what it truly means to be selfless and caring.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 12 p.m. in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. - 12 p. m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ahimsa Haven Animal Shelter located in Templeton Massachusetts.
