OBITUARY
Fitchburg – Linda M. (Gallant) LaPlante, 71, of Fitchburg, passed away on May 23, 2019, in UMass Medical Center in Worcester after a short battle with cancer.
Linda was born in Fitchburg on May 30, 1947, the daughter of Lena (Cordio) Gallant and the late Armand Gallant. She graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1965.
While raising her children, Linda worked part time at Prime Value Mart. She then worked for Secino’s Tailor Shop until 2015. Most recently, she enjoyed working at the election polls at the Knights of Columbus.
Linda loved spending time at Wells Beach and always cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who called her Mema.
She is survived by her mother Lena Gallant; her beloved husband of 52 years, Victor; her children, Michele LaBell, David LaPlante and his fiancé Nicole McAllister, and her son Tyler; grandchildren, Cassandra Bellofatto and her husband Daniel, Alexander LaBell, and Cailin LaPlante. She is also survived by her lifelong best friend Ellen Brideau. Linda will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
