Linda M. Carroll

May 22, 1947 — February 17, 2024

Fitchburg, MA

Linda M. Carroll, born on May 22, 1947, in Leominster, MA, was the embodiment of a creative, loving, dedicated, and thoughtful spirit. Linda, a woman with a heart as big as her smile, passed away on February 17, 2024. As Mark Twain once said, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started," and Linda, an innovative and inspired soul, lived this truth throughout her dynamic life.

Born and raised in Leominster, Linda made her mark in the world primarily through her devotion to her family and her exceptional work ethic. Married to Reginald F. Carroll on July 22, 1967, their love story is one that spanned decades, filled with shared joys, laughter, and the creation of a beautiful family. Linda spent many years working diligently as a secretary in the banking industry, retiring from the Leominster Credit Union. Her dedication and commitment to her work mirrored her steadfast love for her family, friends, and community.

Linda's creativity shone brightly. She found great joy in her hobbies, which included creative writing, crafts, and she particularly excelled at sewing, even creating beautiful clothes and dolls. An avid game show watcher, Linda also enjoyed word puzzles and teaching a computer class at the Fitchburg Senior Center, even serving as President. Yet, what mattered most to Linda was her family and friends. Her tireless dedication to them serves as a testament to her loving and thoughtful nature. Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication, survived by her daughter Tammy (Shawn) Kline, her husband Reginald F. Carroll, her sister Patricia (Yvon) Allain. She joins her parents, Omer and Flora Gionet, and her sister, Sheila Arsenault, in eternal rest.

In the words of Albert Einstein, "Creativity is intelligence having fun," and Linda Carroll’s life was a canvas of creativity, love, and dedication. We invite you to share your memories of Linda and upload photos to her memorial page, keeping her spirit alive in our hearts and minds.

No funeral service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a Celebration of Life is scheduled. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the American Cancer Society.
