Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Sunday, August 5, from 2-4pm.

Funeral Mass will be held in Saint Leo’s Church, 108 Main St., Leominster on Monday, August 6, at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Saint Leo’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, PO box 417005 Boston, Ma 02241 or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA  22312.



OBITUARY

Leominster – Leo A. “Tony” Norton, 60, of Leominster, passed away at home on August 2, 2018.

Tony was born in Fitchburg on March 29, 1958, a son of the late William and Mary (Cardinal) Norton.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Eva Nelson of Leominster; five siblings, Shirley Ramos of Fitchburg, Carol Hutchins of Fitchburg, Richard Norton of Leominster, Robert Norton of Fitchburg, and Ernest Norton of Hardwick; many nieces and nephews, and his granddaughter and best friend, Lauren Fahey.

Tony was predeceased by his brothers, Frank, William, and Edward Norton, as well as his sister, Mary Ward.

Tony was a selfless and giving individual; starting in the 1980’s, he was a volunteer at the Kingsman and Notre Dame Bingo, for over 20 years. He also volunteered at the Saint Joes Club every year at Christmas time, playing Santa Claus. He also played Santa at DSM, where he was employed for 19 years. He had also held several other jobs, including positions at J. Vaughn, Renzi Plastics, and most recently, A. Schulman.

He will be fondly remembered as a die-hard Miami Dolphins fan and music lover. He always enjoyed watching sports, including the Boston Bruins.
