OBITUARY
Fitchburg – Lena M. (Guglielmi) Pandiscio, 95, of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully in the Golden Living Center.
Lena was born in Fitchburg on March 11, 1921, a daughter of the late Oreste and Carmela (Giammarino) Guglielmi. She graduated from Fitchburg High School, and in her younger years worked for W.T. Grants. Lena enjoyed playing piano and was part of a musical group, where she met her husband Louis. They would have celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary on January 25th.
She was very active in Saint Anthony’s Church, where she was not only a parishioner, but also on the finance committee. Lena loved to travel and take cruises; some of her most treasured trips were to Italy. She will be fondly remembered for her Italian meals and baking her Christmas cookies, which are often imitated but never duplicated! She was a fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. Lena was a talented knitter, who created beautiful prayer shawls for Burbank Hospital and countless accessories for her family.
The family would like to extend a most sincere thank you to the Montachusett Home Care and Alisha and Faith of the Catholic Charities for the exceptional care Lena received.
She is survived by her husband Louis Pandiscio of Fitchburg; children, Natalie Lamoureux of Fitchburg, Nancy Sabulis of Fitchburg, Richard Pandiscio and wife Kathy of Fitchburg, and Ray Pandiscio and wife Cindy of Townsend; grandchildren, Bobby Lamoureux, Bryan Lamoureux, Kristine Bouchard, Christopher Sabulis, Melissa Longley-Martines, Krista Lyon, Tyler Pandiscio, and Tanner Pandiscio; great grandchildren, Elisha Bouchard, Sophia Lamoureux, Colin Lamoureux, Olivia and Landon Longley-Martines and Jaxson Pandiscio; sister, Mary Morizzo of Leominster; many nieces, nephews, and extended family in Italy.
