Lee Joseph Lyons passed away June 29, 2024 in Fitchburg, MA with his family by his bedside. 

He was born in Akron, OH on December 28, 1964 where he resided until joining the Marine Corp after graduation from East High School in 1983. He served as an Embassy Guard in Belgrade, Yugoslavia and Oslo, Norway. While in Norway, he made many friends and decided to stay there after being discharged. He found a job where he learned many contracting skills, especially tile installation. Outdoor sports were always a draw for and playing American football with a team of Norwegian friends was a big one.

Life brought him back to the US in 1998 and he settled in Fitchburg, MA working for Once Upon A Tile and then going on his own doing tile work. He met Judy Gonzalez and her children, Felicity, Sabrina and Rafael whom he loved and helped raise. He made sure they were all involved in the family tile business. 

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lance and Loren Lyons and his father Joseph Robert Lyons. Surviving is Lee’s mother Shirley (James) Oziomek Judy, Felicity, Sabrina, Rafael and special nephew Kingston along with Kingston’s brothers and sisters and many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Calling hours will be Friday, July 5, 2024 from 5-7PM at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd. Fitchburg, MA.

Burial will be at a later date at Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon, MA.

 Arrangements are under the care of Brandon Funeral Home.
