Lawrence P. "Larry" Robinson

The funeral Mass will be held in Saint Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church Street Westminster on Wednesday, November 28, at 10:00am. Burial will be held privately in Portland, Maine.

Westminster – Lawrence P. “Larry” Robinson, 73, of Westminster, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2018 with his wife by his side.

Larry was born in Portland, Maine on January 15, 1945, a son of the late Lawrence B. and Mary E. (Kelley) Robinson. He was educated through Saint Joseph’s School in Portland and graduated from Deering High School in 1963. Larry earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and History from the University of Maine. After college, Larry enlisted in the US Army, where he proudly served his country for four years. While in the Army Reserves, he acted as Drill Sergeant.

Larry worked as a Retail Manager for WT Grants, Kings and Stuarts Department Stores, Walmart, and The Dollar Tree; retiring in 2011 after a career spanning over 42 years.

In his spare time, Larry was an avid reader and always enjoyed his family history and genealogy research. He was very active; he loved golfing, playing cards, and fishing, especially spending time with his family and taking trips.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gail A. (Weingaertner) Robinson; two daughters, Kimberly Jo Robinson of Winchendon and Kristen Allard and her husband Richard of Ashburnham; three grandchildren, Jacob Comiskey of Gardner, Jesse Comiskey of Winchendon, and Eve Allard of Ashburnham; a sister, Jean Mudrock and husband Terry of Santoga, CA, a brother, Paul Robinson and wife Doreen Lemay of Gorham, ME, two nephews, Scott Robinson of CA, and Jeffrey Robinson of ME. Larry is also survived by his dearest friends, MaryEllen and Curt Alty, Fran and Liz Lyons, Margaret and Martti Peltola, MaryAnn Robuccio, June and Sonny DeCoster, and several others that span over 50 years.
