The funeral will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg with a Mass at 10 am in Holy Family of Nazareth Church, Leominster. Burial is in St. Leo’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, from 4-6 pm.
Leominster – Lawrence J. Piermarini, 83, of Leominster, passed away Tuesday, July 21, at the Life Care Center of Leominster.
Mr. Piermarini was born on November 23, 1930 in Leominster, the son of Angelo and Nicolina (Bracani) Piermarini. He was a United States Air Force veteran who proudly served his county during the Korean War. Mr. Piermarini was a Leominster Firefighter, serving 35 years before retiring. He was a member of Hose 4 and a member of the Leominster Firefighters Relief Association and Local 1841 Firefighters Union. He was a member of the Saladini Society, and a lifetime member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans, as well as a member of Saint Anna’s Church.
Mr. Piermarini enjoyed horse racing and spending time with grandchildren and family.
His wife of 51 years, Gwendolyn (Jackson) Piermarini died on January 2, 2004. One son, Lawrence Piermarini, Jr., predeceased him on October 28, 2009.
He is survived by two remaining sons, Michael D. Piermarini and his wife Tammy Hesketh-Piermarini and John L. Piermarini and his wife Tammi (Campbell) Piermarini; his daughter-in-law Maureen (Regan) Piermarini; eight grandchildren, Tiffany, Ashley, Ryan, Nicole, Erin, Izabella, John Vincent and Sophia Piermarini; his sisters Florence V. Fallon and Mary Piermarini.
