Kenneth Shell

As per his request there will be no calling hours and the services will be private. Fitchburg- Kenneth Alan Shell, 66 passed away Thursday, June 23 at the UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester after a brief illness.

Ken was born in Schenectady, New York on April 12, 1950 to George and Pauline (Kilmer) Shell and resided most of his life in Fitchburg.

Ken s survived by his wife Nancy (Tuliano) Shell of 17 years, his son Derek Shell and his wife Nicole (Goguen) Shell of Fitchburg, his step- daughter Tina (Tuliano) Wright and her husband Delmahr Wright of Leominster as well as their four children, Felipo, Kyisha, Jynelle, and Delmahr Jr., his nephews Carl Shell and Mikael Shell both of Ashburnham, his niece Kim (Shell) Nolan of Acton as well as countless friends. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother Wesley Shell in 1988, his nephew Russell Shell in 1996 and his son Nathan Shell in 1990.

A graduate of Fitchburg High School in 1967, Ken was a lifelong musician and accomplished drummer playing in several local area bands throughout his life as well as working many years on the maintenance crew at Oak Hill Country Club.

Equal parts kind and funny, Ken was outgoing, quick witted and friendly to all he met. He enjoyed many interests including military history and sports but Ken’s true passions were his love of music; especially jazz and blues, and spending good times with the friends and family he has left so many cherished memories with.
