OBITUARY
FITCHBURG – Kenneth A. Kullmann, Sr., 92, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 Health Alliance Hospital, Leominster.
He was born October 9, 1922 in Fitchburg, the son of John L. and Ella (Hergert) Kullmann and lived here all of his life. He was a 1941 graduate of Fitchburg High School where he played football and basketball. He was employed by James River Corp for many years.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1945. He served with the 101st Airborne with combat service on DDay where he earned a Bronze Star for his actions, Operation Market Garden, and the Battle of the Bulge where he earned a Purple Heart.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Friendship Club, Monoosnoc Country Club, and was a life member of American Legion Post 429. He loved to golf and bowl.
He leaves his wife of 67 years, Theresa Lea (Roy) Kullmann, a son, Kenneth A. Kullmann, Jr. of Fitchburg, a grandson, Keith A. Kullmann of Mason, NH and a granddaughter, Kristen A. Kullmann of Fitchburg, two sisters, Phyllis DiConza and Mildred Delbove, both of Leominster and many nieces and nephews.
