Kathleen Ellen Rota, a beloved wife, mother, and member of the Leominster community, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts on April 12, 1965, Kathleen was known for her selfless altruism towards others. She always did everything possible for her family. Something as simple as to check to see if you made it home. Or not allow you come visit her if there was stormy weather. She enjoyed talking with her kids daily and did everything she could for them throughout her life. She was the glue that kept the family together.
Kathleen enjoyed working as an executive secretary at Veryfine, a fruit juice supplier based in Littleton, MA. She retired in 1989 and continued as the mother, homemaker, and home executive secretary, coordinating her kids school, afterschool, and family events. Kathy loved to play board games, go to the beach, and vacation in Ogunquit Maine with her family.
Kathleen (Shea) Rota is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Don Rota of Leominster. She was the daughter of Ann E. Shea of Athol and Francis and Anne Shea of Hubbardston. Besides her husband and parents, she leaves her son Andrew Rota and his wife Danielle of Waltham and Nichole (Rota) DeRubeis and her husband Christian of Newton. She also leaves behind her sisters, Maryellen McLaughlin and her husband Lawrence of Athol and Carolyn Donnellan and her husband Daniel of Leominster, and brother Matthew Shea of Hubbardston. She leaves her cherished grandchildren, Charles Andrew Rota of Waltham and Hannah Kathleen DeRubeis of Newton. Kathy is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved her dearly.
