The funeral will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Tuesday, February 9 at 10:00am. Calling hours will be from 4-7pm on Monday, February 8 in the funeral home. OBITUARY Fitchburg- Kathleen H. (Aho) Leger, 60, of Fitchburg, passed away on February 4, in the Highlands after a courageous battle with cancer. Kathleen was born in Fitchburg on December 3, 1955, a daughter of the late Norman and Joan (Mason) Aho. She graduated in 1973 from North Middlesex High School in Townsend. She worked for NEBS in Groton for over 25 years as the head of payroll. Kathleen later worked in payroll for the Leominster Health Alliance until her illness. She was a New England sports fan and an avid reader. Kathleen loved to bake and spend time with her family at Lake Winnipesauke and York Beach in Maine. She loved Disney World and traveled to Florida when her niece Megan performed there with the Leominster High School band. Throughout the last year of her illness, she was happy and proud to witness the birth of her first grandchild. The family wishes to thank Dr. Sheila Donnelly and all the nurses in the Oncology Department at the Heywood Hospital. She leaves her husband of 36 years, Mark “Chooch” Leger of Fitchburg; son, Daniel Leger and wife Nokiang of FL; daughter, Katie Leger of Fitchburg; granddaughter, Alayna Leger; siblings, Steven Aho and wife Melody of NH, Eddie Aho and wife Joan of Fitchburg, and Corinne Rainville of Fitchburg.
