June’s funeral will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 17 Main St., Ashburnham on April 20, at 10:00am. Burial will follow in South Cemetery in Lunenburg. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Pope Memorial SPCA, 94 Silk Farm Rd., Concord, NH 03301.
OBITUARY Townsend – June B. (Porter) Adams, 85, of Townsend, passed away Saturday, December 17, in the Golden Living Center. June was born in Fitchburg on September 9, 1931, a daughter of the late Hance and Ruth (Lancaster) Porter. As a young woman, June enjoyed figure skating, participating in many shows. She also played guitar and sang in a trio, performing locally. June and her husband Winthrop established Blueberry Hill Farm, a dairy farm in Townsend in 1973. She was an animal lover, always owning cats, dogs, and horses. She always contributed to local SPCA charities. Her passion was the farm and gardening. She was very talented in macramé and chair caning and weaving. She leaves her children, Clayton Williams and wife Debbie of FL, Randy Williams and wife Donna of Ashburnham, Deborah Burns and husband Steve of Concord, NH; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. June was predeceased by her husband Winthrop Adams in 1989, and her siblings, Earl Porter and Beverly Vivian.
