The funeral will be held at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, on Monday, March 2, with a Mass in Saint Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St. at 11:00AM. Calling hours will be held on Monday morning from 9:00-10:30AM. Burial will be private at a later date in the MA Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.

Fitchburg – Joseph “Lee” Goguen, 78, of Fitchburg passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 from complications of Alzheimer’s. He was surrounded by his family.
Lee was born in Fitchburg on April 3, 1936, son of the late Leonce and Marie Yvonne (Bedard) Goguen. He graduated from Saint Bernard’s Catholic High School in 1955, after which he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for four years and was honorably discharged. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from Clark University and later his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Suffolk University. Lee worked as a Cost Accounting Manager at Raytheon for 34 years.
Lee was a life-long parishioner of Saint Joseph Parish in Fitchburg. His hobbies included golf, fishing, tennis, gardening, and solving crossword puzzles. For 15 years, Lee enjoyed wintering in Florida with his wife. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
He leaves his wife of 59 years, Elaine (Goguen) Goguen of Fitchburg; children, Joyce Lehtinen of Fitchburg, Karen Hawthorne and her husband Richard of Fitchburg, Sandra Goguen- Young and her husband David of Townsend, Deborah Lindberg and her husband Samuel of Princeton; grandchildren John, Brian, and Scott Lehtinen, Zachary Brousseau, Jeff Maxwell, Kelly Garafolo, Sally Vinchesi, Katie Goguen-Young, Olivia and Elina Lindberg; great grandchild Dawson Lehtinen; and several cousins.
