Joseph L. Giunta

Joseph L. Giunta, 90, of Concord MA and previously of Fitchburg and Deerfield Beach Florida, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2023.

Joe was born in Fitchburg on May 12, 1933, son of the late Salvatore and Mary (Anzalone) Giunta and resided in Fitchburg most of his life. Joe owned Joe's City Appliance for many years and previously worked for M. Sabatelli in Leominster. Joe also proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

Joe will be remembered for his larger than life personality and was especially proud of his Sicilian heritage. He enjoyed talking to anyone he met along the way and had the gift of storytelling. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Joe is survived by his children Joseph Giunta (Jody) of Lunenburg, Joanne Damico of Leominster, and Michael Giunta (Annette) of Bolton. He was the beloved grandfather ("G-Joe") to his two grandsons, Christopher and Adam. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Joe was predeceased by three brothers, Samuel, Anthony, and Louis Giunta, and his sister, Sophie (Giunta) Ingemie.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Joe for a period of visitation on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd. Fitchburg, MA from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Burial will be private.
