It is with heartfelt adoration and respect we announce the passing of Joseph Francis Dignard, affectionately known to many as Fran, Pepere or just Dignard, on May 31, 2024. Born on October 28, 1931, in Leominster, MA, Joseph was a man whose love for life was as broad as his list of hobbies. From riding his motorcycle to building and flying model planes, to carving birds from wood, Joseph was a man of many talents. His creativity shone through in his paintings, and his love for music was evident when he played the drums, and especially singing Karaoke with Crystal and his brother Red. A gifted designer, Joseph retired from a successful career in the printing business, leaving behind a rich tapestry of captured moments.
Joseph was a loving individual who was always proud of everything he did. His wit and sense of humor were infectious; he was always the joker of the group, ready with a funny remark or a clever quip. His laughter and jovial spirit will be remembered by all who knew him. Joseph was the loving father to Kenneth Dignard, Francis Jr., and Brenda Giambrocco, and a caring brother to Eddie Dignard. He is also survived by his close friend, Henry. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Joseph was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Dignard, and his children Donald Dignard, Deborah Levesque, Sharon LaFond, and Kurt Morin. His parents, Alexander and Arthemese Dignard, also preceded him.
A service to celebrate Joseph's life will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, Massachusetts, 01420.
