The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg with a Mass in Saint Anthony di Padua Church, Fitchburg on Friday, February 19 at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 4-7pm on Thursday, February 18 in the funeral home.

OBITUARY
Fitchburg – John A. Sciabarrasi, 85, of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2016 in Leominster Hospital.
John was born in Fitchburg on March 3, 1930, a son of the late Luigi and Francesca (Dompelo) Sciabarrasi. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of Dainty Maid Apron Company until his retirement in 2015
John was an avid golfer and member of the Monoosnock Country Club, where he won many tournaments. He was also a member of the Sons of Italy, Italian War Veterans and served on the PTO for the school of St. Anthony di Padua Church, where he was a lifelong member. John was a loyal patron of the Moran Square Diner all of his life.
John was predeceased by his wife Florence Josephine (Ball) Sciabarrasi.
He is survived by his children: Judy Horrocks and her husband John; Marcia Carignan and her husband Phil; John Sciabarrasi Jr. and his wife Michelle; and Philip Sciabarrasi and his wife Nambanya. His grandchildren: Scott Horrocks and his wife Carrie; Pam Anderson and her husband Jim; Becki Angeletti and her husband Ken; Madeline Carignan, Ma; Philip Carignan II; Mya Sciabarrasi and Gino Sciabarrasi. His great-grandchildren: Sarah, Matthew and Thomas Anderson; Nathan and Nicholas Smith; and Samuel Horrocks.
