John E. LeBlanc, known by many as Butch, passed away peacefully at the age of 93. Butch’s life was spent by always helping others. He was not a man of many words, but he was a man of many kind deeds. Butch was known for his kind gestures and his willingness to always help others. Butch was born in Fitchburg in 1927, where he grew up with his family. In 1944, he enlisted in the Navy and served for two years. Upon returning to Fitchburg, he worked at James River Papermill until his retirement in 1987. Butch enjoyed getting together with his friends at Monoosnock Country Club in Leominster, golfing and playing cards. He also enjoyed watching sports and cheering on Boston sports teams with his friends at the SunDial. He is predeceased by his parents and all his siblings. He was also predeceased by his beloved partner Anna, for whom he loved dearly and enjoyed traveling the world with. We all find solace in knowing they are together again.
