John J. Cali

John J. Cali, age 75, and a resident of Stoneham, MA, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2023. 

John was born on September 15, 1947, to the late Sebastiano and Angela (Fedrini) Cali, in Cambridge, MA. 

John grew up as an only child but, had many friends and his mother would take them anywhere and everywhere...his favorite were their trips to the beach. He graduated from Medford High School - class of ‘66, honorably served in the United States Army, and worked at the US Postal Service for 41 years.

Known to some as “Topper” or “Nickles”; John was an avid New England sports fan who cherished his time vacationing with friends in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, FL and on cruise ships. As a child, John enjoyed playing baseball and then men’s softball for Stadium Cafe after his military service during the Vietnam War. He was a great cribbage player, winning several tournaments and was I.M.C. Player Of The Year in 2008. But more than anything, he loved his children.

John is predeceased by his parents Sebastiano and Angela Cali. He is survived by his son Michael and his wife Brenda (Rioux), his son Patrick, his son John (Jack) and his wife Heidi (Stavris), his Christopher and his wife Rebecca (Ross), and his 12 grandchildren.
