John Britt

John Britt, born on January 24, 1929, in Oil City, Pennsylvania, was a man with a warm heart, and great generous nature. An aficionado of old westerns, he could often be found enjoying a classic John Wayne movie. A favorite past time was going out to get fast food to enjoy. He liked puttering around the house with his son Larry with a "fix it " project. For family he always had a smile.

John, a retired extruder, worked many years in the plastics industry. But it was not just objects that were shaped by the plastics, he worked with. He molded lives with his wisdom, kindness. An inexhaustible love of his family. He greatly enjoyed home cooked Sunday dinners, His family grew up with Sunday dinner and was a testament to his belief in the power of family bonds, He was always partial to sweets, his eyes would light up at the sight of a bowl of ice cream, cake or cookies.

John is survived by his daughters, Sharon Reaves and Patricia Wilkinson and her husband Edward, and his sons, John and Lawrence Britt. His love will live on in his granddaughters, Christine McFarlane and Kelly McKenna and her husband Pete, and his great-grandchildren, Julia and Connor McFarlane, Jake and Evyn McKenna

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Britt, his mother, Lillian Britt, and his wife, Phyllis Britt.

His legacy of love, laughter, and resilience continue to inspire all who knew him. We encourage those who knew John to visit the memorial page, leave memories of him, and upload photos that celebrate his life.
