At her request, funeral services and burial were held privately in the MA Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon. Brandon Funeral Home, Fitchburg, assisted the family.
OBITUARY
Leominster – Jean M. (Kearney) Ashey, 80, of Leominster, passed away February 17, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born in Worcester, MA on April 15, 1936, daughter of the late John Francis and Daisy (McDonald) Kearney. She leaves her husband of 63 years, Joseph G. Ashey; children, Joseph G. Ashey, Jr., Cheryl Dellogono and husband Tom; grandchildren, Amy, Sheri, and Michael, all of Leominster. Jean was predeceased by her brother Owen F. Kearney.
Until her retirement, she was the owner and operator of the Doggy Bath House. Jean enjoyed square dancing, stained glass, quilting and playing cards. She also had a passion for lighthouses from her time spent on Price Edward Island – birthplace of her mother and father. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
