The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Friday, March 4, with a Mass in Saint Leo’s Church in Leominster at 11:00am. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home Friday morning from 9:30-10:30am. Burial will follow in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Leo’s Church, 180 Main Street, Leominster, MA 01453.
OBITUARY
Fitchburg – Janet M. (McGuinness) Greenstreet, 95, of Fitchburg, passed away February 28, in Sterling Village.
Janet was born in Fitchburg on January 10, 1921, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Murphy) McGuinness. She was a 1939 graduate of Saint Bernard’s High School and worked as a secretary at Fort Devens. Later, Janet worked for Emily’s Shop, Roger’s Dept. Store, Ruth Lee’s and the Dress Barn until her retirement in 1995.
She was a parishioner of Saint Leo’s Church in Leominster. Janet was a skilled cook and baker, and loved having her family over for meals.
Janet leaves her two children, Jack Greenstreet and his wife Donna of Leominster, Mary Jayne Oleksiak and husband Thomas of Nashua, NH; grandchildren, Thomas Oleksiak, Jr. and wife Claire, Tara Petricca and husband Joel, and Jillian Cruver and husband Mike; three great grandchildren; Owen, Emma, and Nina.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Greenstreet in 1975.
