The funeral will be held Thursday, September 1, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony di Padua Church, 84 Salem St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery. LEOMINSTER – Janet Badagliacca died Saturday, August 27, 2022. She was born in Fitchburg, the only child of Paul and Dorothy (Masterson) Badagliacca.
Janet graduated from Leominster High School in 1969 and Mt. Wachusett Community College in 1971. She loved her summer job at Whalom Park when she was in high school. After graduating from college, she began her career in human services at The Dr. Franklin Perkins School in Lancaster. Later, Janet began working for The Eunice J. Matson Friends in Fitchburg, which over the years, evolved in to The ARC of Opportunity. After many years, she retired as Director of Apartment Program at ARC.
Janet was very giving of her time and energy, volunteering for Eunice J. Matson Friends, ARC of Opportunity, and local Special Olympics. She was a member of the Fitchburg Historical Society, Committee for Leominster High School Class of 1969 Reunions, the auction committee for ARC and was on the board of The Beacon of Hope, where she did significant volunteer work. She touched many lives in the community.
Janet loved spending time with her family and always remained close with her beloved friends from childhood.
Janet leaves many cousins both locally and in her mother’s home state of Missouri.
