The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 with a Mass in Saint Bernard’s Parish at Saint Camillus Church, 333 Mechanic St., Fitchburg at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5-8pm on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in the funeral home.In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the Saint Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105



OBITUARY Lunenburg – Jane L. (Nelson) Emma, 66, of Lunenburg, formerly of Winchendon, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 in Leominster Hospital. Jane was born in Fitchburg on June 9, 1950, a daughter of the late Waino and Claire (Hastings) Nelson. She was a 1968 graduate of Fitchburg High School, where she was a Gold F student. For many years she worked in finance for Berkey Photo, Simplex, and Tyco, retiring in 2005. Jane was once an avid tennis player and really liked spending time with her grandchildren and planting her flower gardens.  She was also a talented knitter and enjoyed creating the most beautiful blankets for her grandchildren.  Perhaps most importantly though, Jane was a loving and caring woman, who was certainly a caregiver to family and friends. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and wife; she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Jane leaves her husband Robert Emma of Lunenburg; children, Robin Pierce and her husband Mark of Gardner, Mark Emma and wife Christine of Lunenburg; grandchildren, Nicholas, Alisha, Andrew and Sammy; great grandchildren, Ryan, Jaxson and Emmalyn; brothers, Ronald Nelson of Fitchburg, Richard Nelson and wife Sandy of California, Steve Nelson of Fitchburg, and Ted Nelson of Leominster; as well as her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Gale Normandin.
