Fitchburg – James F. Morey, 74, of Fitchburg, died September 25, 2016 in the VA Hospital in West Roxbury.
James was born in Clinton on December 22, 1941, a son of the late Francis (Bill) and Ruth (Thomas) Morey. In 1964, he enlisted in the US Army. He served his country with the 173rd Airborne Brigade until his honorable discharge. He embraced his military connection and remained proud of his service until his last days.
He worked for many years at the former James River Paper Company in Fitchburg until his retirement. Jimmy led a full life; he raised four children, and was fortunate enough to see them have families of their own. He also had a dog named Glory, she was an important part of his life and she brought him much joy, comfort, and happiness.
A graveside service with military honors will be held in his memoriam, his family respectfully requests privacy during this time for grieving.
