A calling hour will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Tuesday, July 19 from 9:30-10:30am. The funeral Mass will be held in Saint Bernard’s Parish at Saint Camillus Church, 333 Mechanic St. at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Saint Bernard’s Cemetery.
OBITUARY
Fitchburg – Irene (Lemieux) McCollum, 86, of Fitchburg, passed away Thursday, July 14 in the Golden Living Center.
Irene was born in Fitchburg on June 1, 1930, a daughter of the late William and Alma (St. Jean) Lemieux. She worked for several years for Cormier Catering, until her retirement. She loved traveling with her husband and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Irene enjoyed crocheting and making afghans for her family.
She leaves her children, Patricia Espie of Fitchburg and Thomas McCollum of Methuen; grandchildren, Matthew Espie and his wife Kristen of Fitchburg and Kristen Espie Bilodeau and her husband Seth of Amesbury; great grandchildren, Christopher Espie, Bexley and Seamus Bilodeau; sisters, Lucille Collette of Fitchburg and Perly Lemieux of NH.
Irene was predeceased by her husband Peter McCollum and her great grandson Alexander Espie.
