The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Tuesday, April 5, with a Mass in Saint Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Saint Leo’s Cemetery, 360 Lancaster St., Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 4, from 4-7pm in the funeral home.

OBITUARY
Leominster – Henry J. Salafia, 92, of Leominster, passed away Thursday, March 31, in Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
Henry was born in Leominster on December 22, 1923, a son of the late Paul and Mary (Couture) Salafia. He began his career working for Guy P. Harvey, and later for many years at Banner Mold and Die, until his retirement.
He was a true outdoorsman who loved and appreciated nature. Henry’s favorite pastime was fishing. While his children were young, Henry enjoyed Sunday trips to the beach. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather; he will be greatly missed.
He leaves his wife of 70 years, Georgette (Rainville) Salafia of Leominster; eight children, Claudette Guilmette and husband Albert of Leominster; Carol Salafia of Milford, NH; Donald Salafia and wife Gail of New Ipswich, NH; Susan Pasquale and husband Raymond of Milford, NH; David Salafia and wife Kathie of Dracut; Diane Dumont and husband Chuck of Pepperell; Dan Salafia and wife Laurie of Leominster; Denise Waller and husband Butch of Wellington, FL; 24 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; five siblings, Theresa Hare and husband John of TX, Mary Boyer of Leominster; Raymond Salafia and wife Donna of Lincoln, NE; Robert Salafia of Gardner; Paul Salafia of Leominster; many nieces and nephews, and a very close friend, Joe Barrows and his wife Phyllis.
Henry was predeceased by his daughter Paula Roy and his siblings, Pete Salafia, Mae Conklin, Salvatore Salafia, Joseph Salafia, Donald Salafia, Anita Cooper, Anthony Salafia, and Eleanor Salafia.
