Fitchburg – Helen M. DiPrima passed away on Monday June 15, 2015 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital after a brave 7 year battle with lung cancer.
She was the daughter of Raymond Charette of Quebec and Althea Charette of Old Town, Maine. Helen was perhaps best known as for her work at East Side Variety and the Cozy Corner Coffee Shop which she owned and operated with her husband, Sandy DiPrima.
Helen is survived by her husband of 50 years, Sandy DiPrima; she is also survived by her four children; Angela M. Taylor, Gino P. DiPrima, Paula DiPrima Keating, and Nicholas R. DiPrima.
Her brother Donald Charette and Thomas Charette, and her sisters Dolores Valeri, Carol Dignard, Betty Haines, and Deborah Namvar will also miss her very much. Her brothers Raymond and John have predeceased her.
While Helen enjoyed spending time traveling with her husband, gardening, and charity work, her greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren: Michael, Eric, Julianna, Zachery, Anthony, Jacob, Emily, Connor, Abigail, and Ella.
Helen blessed the lives of all that knew her and will be remembered by her loved ones as a kind and generous soul, willing to give her all to help her family and those in need.
