Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Wednesday, September 13, from 4-7 pm. Burial will be held privately at a later date in Bellevue Cemetery, Harvard.
Harry J. Roberts, 76, formerly of West Townsend, passed away September 7, 2017 in the Highlands.
Harry was born in Ayer, MA on April 24, 1941, a son of the late James and Louise (West) Roberts.
Mr. Roberts was a self-employed farmer along with his twin brother, Harley. Together, they farmed over 200 acres on their family farm. Harry was well known in the area and frequented all the local fairs and livestock auctions. He and his brother also demolished several buildings including the Aubuchon Hardware building on Elm Street in Fitchburg. He worked for many years at Aro’s Poultry Farm in Lunenburg. Harry was a kind individual who was willing to do anything for anyone.
He leaves his daughter, Sarah (Roberts) Kidd and her husband Vernon Kidd of Fitchburg; his three grandchildren, Taylor, Elizabeth, and Trevor; sister, Beverly O’Dess; many nieces and nephews.
