At the request of the family, services and burial are private. Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241, or to simply say a prayer for the family.



Leominster – Gloria R. (Pasquarelli) Palazzi, 95, passed away December 20, 2016 in UMass Memorial Marlborough. Gloria was born in Leominster on September 29, 1921, a daughter of the late Quincy and Santa (Giambrocco) Pasquarelli. Gloria was the wife of the late Otto P. Palazzi; they were married for 71 years. She attended Leominster High School and Ollis Beauty Academy in Worcester. She then opened her own successful business, Gloria’s Beauty Salon. Prior to that, she worked at Union Products and W.T. Grant’s in downtown Leominster. Gloria is survived by her beloved daughter and best friend, Bette Kartanos and her companion Tyke Mazzaferro; grandchildren, Thomas Palazzi, Lynne Palazzi, Michelle Barry, David Palazzi and wife Sherry, Stephanie LeBlanc and husband Kevin, Amy Craven, and James Kartanos; great grandchildren, Brittney Field, Shane Field, Meadow Palazzi, Liliana Palazzi, Kingsley Catalucci, Gena Catalucci, Randy Catalucci, Beth Regan, Sarah LeBlanc, Nicole LeBlanc, Seth Kartanos, and Sage Kartanos. She followed their accomplishments with great interest and pride. Gloria leaves her very special caregiver Kelly Hickey Marciano. Kelly provided Gloria with extraordinary, loving care with everything from her home, to bringing her to many social activities on a regular basis for many years. She is also survived by her sister in law Mary Ware as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins; godchild Joyce Shaw and Gloria’s friend Rick Niles, who was always kind and giving. Gloria was predeceased by two sons Thomas John and Ronald Joseph; sisters, Elizabeth Lawrence, Geraldine Poirier, Veronica and Esther Pasquarelli; son in law, Lothar Kartanos.
