Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Monday, May 14 from 5-8pm.
The funeral Mass will be held in St. Leo’s Church, 108 Main St., Leominster on Tuesday, May 15, at 10am. Burial will follow in St. Leo’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gerardo’s name to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849169, Boston, MA 02284, attn; Dept. of Thoracic Oncology or be left at the funeral home. The family gives special thanks to Dr. Shepro and his staff.
Gerardo A. “Gerry” Marini, 69, of Leominster, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday May 8 surrounded by his family.
He was born in Leominster on May 23, 1948, son of the late Gerardo V. and Santina C. (Briguglio) Marini. His career began as a Draftsman at Digital Equipment Corp. in 1968 and ended as a Department Manager, enjoying an early retirement and wintering in Florida for several years. Gerry was an avid outdoorsman and a lifetime member of the Leominster Sportsman’s Club. Most of all he was a loving family man and enjoyed every day of life with his wife, children and grandchildren. Gerry was a parishioner of St. Leo’s Church in Leominster.
He leaves his wife of 49 years Lois A. (Martin) Marini, his daughter Kimberly Clinch and her husband Walter, his son Matthew and his wife Amy, his grandchildren Rachel and her husband Emmanuel, Adam and Andrew, and his great granddaughter Kennedy. He is also survived by his brothers Stephen Marini and his wife Sharon, and Michael Marini and his wife Sue, and several nieces and nephews.
