Funeral services and burial will be held privately. Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg is directing arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Dr. Franklin Perkins School, 971 Main St., Lancaster, MA 01523 or to the Freemasons, 16 Thorndike Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
OBITUARY
Fitchburg – George Koljian, 85, of Fitchburg, passed away Tuesday, October 27, in Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster.
George was born in Fitchburg on June 14, 1930, a son of the late Ardash and Sarah Koljian. He was a graduate of Fitchburg High School. For 36 years George worked for Fitchburg Gas, which is presently Unitil, as a Lineman until his retirement. He was a Mason, a member of the Mid-state Antique Auto Club, and a parishioner of Saint Bernard’s Church.
He loved woodworking and was an antique car enthusiast. George loved spending time outdoors, but most of all he loved his family.
He leaves his children, Kevin Koljian of Fitchburg and Kathleen Koljian and her husband Thomas Drewry of CT; grandchildren, Emma Drewry, Jillian Koljian, and Eden Koljian.
George was predeceased by his wife Edna (Healy) Koljian on April 14, 2015 and also by his brother Richard Koljian.
