Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 15, from 5-8pm in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg. The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 16 at 11am in Saint Bernard’s Parish at Saint Camillus Church, 333 Mechanic St., Fitchburg.



Frank J. Capoccia, passed away at home on June 10, surrounded by his loving family.

Frank was born in Leominster on June 24, 1954 to Victor and Theresa (Pothier) Capoccia. After graduation from Leominster High School in 1972, Frank entered the US Air Force. He served 20 years active duty and his career was marked by many awards and accomplishments. During his career, Frank achieved the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He spent time in Alaska, England, Germany, and the Persian Gulf during Desert Storm; He retired in 1992. He then spent many years working for North End Subaru in Lunenburg, MA.

Frank is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 47 years Sharon (Ryan) Capoccia, loving children, Anthony Capoccia and companion Kristen Weigold of Lowell, and daughter Cassandra and husband Michael Torres of Fitchburg. Known as Nunu to his grandchildren, Christian and wife Miranda, Domenik, Sydney, and Symone. Great Nunu to Kairo and Luca.

Frank is survived by two sisters, Linda DiNardo and husband Alphonse of Leominster and Deanne Lord and husband John of Waterboro, ME; one brother John Capoccia and wife Kim of FL, and brother in law Thomas Ryan and wife Linda of CA, also several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his fur babies, Lucy and Oakley.

Frank was predeceased by his brother Peter Capoccia, also his precious lab Sophie.

Frank adored and cherished his time attending basketball games, track meets, and all events involving his grandchildren. He also happily shared family vacations at the Jersey Shore and Disney World. Frank was an avid runner for many years, running in several local road races.

The Capoccia family would like to extend a very special thank you to the Brookhaven Hospice team, especially a heartfelt thank you to Nicole and Anna.
