OBITUARY
Fitchburg – Francesco Pennetti, 85, of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 23.
Francesco was born in Serino, Italy on September 25, 1930. Before arriving in America in 1961, he served in the Italian Army for several years. After learning English and securing employment, he truly lived the American Dream when he married Concetta (DePiano) in 1967. His devoted wife gladly and relentlessly cared for him throughout his strong and hard fight with Lewey Body Dementia and Parkinson’s until the day he passed.
Until his retirement Francesco worked for Digital as a Board Processor. He was a very hard working and talented man, who enjoyed carpentry and construction. A jack of all trades, he could often be found woodworking or making his homemade wine. Francesco loved fishing in Gloucester, hunting, and gardening. He enjoyed story telling with his grandchildren and playing cards with his family. He was a loving and giving husband, father as well as a very proud Nonno! Francesco was a true patriarch, and will be fondly remembered for having things his way; he gave much love, and will be dearly missed by all.
He leaves his wife of 48 years, Concetta (DePiano) Pennetti of Fitchburg; children, Annamaria Pappas and husband James of Fitchburg; Antonio Pennetti and companion Caisse Killay of Fitchburg, and Marylisa Pennetti Allen of Fitchburg; grandchildren, Antonio Allen, Stefano Allen, Maximus Pappas, and Anessa Pappas; nieces and nephews.
Francesco was predeceased by his mother, Letizia (Picone) Pennetti and his siblings.
The family would like to thank the Health Alliance Home Health and Hospice aids and nurses for their wonderful care.
