Frances E. Tait Girard

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 4 at 12:00 (noon) in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg. Burial will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Fitchburg. A visitation period will be held from 10:00 until the time of service in the funeral home.



Fitchburg- Frances E. (Girard) Tait, 78 passed away on Tuesday, December 25 at the Highlands. Mrs. Tait was born on November 30, 1940 a daughter of the late Arthur J. and Mary (Seliga) Girard Sr. She is survived by her husband of fifty eight years, Richard Tait of Fitchburg, one son, Rick Tait and his wife, Kim of Leominster, grandchildren, Adam, Chad and Alicia Butterfield, Brittney Santos, Lindsey and Morgan Tait, great grandchildren, Haylee Butterfield, Evelyn Santos. Mrs. Tait is predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Ann Butterfield who passed in 2016, brothers, Arthur Girard Jr., Bernard Girard, Donald Girard, sisters, Doris Girard and Barbara Elliot. Mrs. Tait had worked at Auntie Ann’s in Searstown Mall and Selig Manufacturing in Leominster. She loved nothing more than cooking for her family and spoiling them. Mrs. Tait also enjoyed her trips to Hampton Beach.
