A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm (noon) on Friday, July 2 in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg. Calling hours will be held from 10:00 – 12:00 pm prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Leo’s cemetery in Leominster.
Townsend- Ferdinando A. Caserma, 86 passed away on Friday, June 25 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Mr. Caserma was born on April 8, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY a son of the late Dominic and Luisa (Desimone) Caserma.
Ferdinando is survived by his wife Muriel (Gulliver) Caserma of Townsend, sons, Frank D. Caserma of Fitchburg, Mark A. Caserma of Fitchburg, Ferdinando “Fred” A. Caserma Jr. and his wife, Colleen of Gardner, daughters, Lea A. Caserma of Leominster, Cynthia J. Caserma and her husband, Ray Boulanger of Merrimack, NH, sister, Anna D’Ambra of Long Island, NY, grandchildren, Courtney, Dominic, Travis and Jillian.
Mr. Caserma is predeceased by his first wife, Joanne A. (Fiorentino) Caserma who passed in 2004.
He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Ferdinando was employed for many years at Gokey and Quinn Transportation as a van driver.
Mr. Caserma was a lover of jigsaw puzzles and an avid coin and stamp collector. With his wife Muriel, they toured many parts of the United States in their camper.
