Felipe De Sa Nogueira

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Felipe De Sa Nogueira, born in Boa-Vista/Cabo Verde on May 1, 1934. Felipe (ildo) was preceded in death by his parents Justiniano and Juliana De Sa Nogueira and his sister Idalina Sa Nogueira Delgado (Nini).  Felipe is survived by his beloved wife Maria (Bia) and his five children Daniel, Christian, Dominique, Jocelyne and Evelyne. He is also survived by his brother Pedro Fortes (Peduca) and his sisters Irma and Yvonne.

He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Felipe was a peaceful man  and brought joy and peace to all who were blessed to know him. He was a passionate man who lived by his word.

In his professional life, Felipe was a craftsman, a cobbler.  He also had a passion for fishing and loved the ocean. In his younger years, he would spend an entire night fishing and spending time near the ocean. That was his passion.  He also enjoyed playing cards (bichka) with his friends.  He enjoyed the game of cards but never wanted to lose. He really loved the game. His culinary skills were impeccable and legendary, as long as it was  pork and beans (feijao).  The man loved his beans. God bless him.

Felipe’s passing leaves behind a legacy of love, joy and peace that will continue to inspire and guide his family and friends. As we remember him, let us celebrate his generous spirit, charismatic presence, and the love he had for his family and friends.

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Felipe for a period of visitation on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, MA from 8:00 am – 10:30 am followed by a funeral mass starting promptly at 11:00 am at St Anthony Of Padua church, 84 Salem Street, Fitchburg MA 01420. After the funeral mass, the burial services will be at the Forest Hill Cemetery, 115 Mt. Elam Road, Fitchburg MA
