Erik J. Siponmaa

Erik Jason Siponmaa, a loving father, dedicated son, and passionate life partner, passed away on April 21, 2024, at the age of 50. Born in Fitchburg, MA, on June 5, 1973, Erik spent the majority of his life in the heart of Massachusetts, where he built a successful career in construction and created a beautiful family. Erik was known for his unwavering work ethic, his infectious laughter, and commitment to self expression.

Erik followed his passion and worked in construction for 30 years, where he was known for his skill, dedication, and integrity. His life was a testament to Thomas Edison’s words, "Opportunity is missed by most people because it's dressed in overalls and looks like work."

Erik is survived by his daughters, Hope and Abby Siponmaa, his mother, Sandra Siponmaa, his father, Erkki Siponmaa, his brother, Ryan Siponmaa, his nephew, Dylan Babin, and his life partner, Heather Long. He was preceded in death by his sister, Vanessa Siponmaa Babin, his grandmother, Aino Siponmaa, and step-grandfather, Tony Caputi.

A visitation will be held at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, Massachusetts, 01420 on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Friends and family are welcomed to celebrate Erik's life and to share their memories.
