Elisabel Maria Borreani, 34, of Lunenburg, passed away on October 11, 2023 at home with her loving family by her side.
Elia was born August 22, 1989, in Leominster and graduated from Lunenburg High in 2007. Aspiring to have a career in healthcare, Elia later worked as a phlebotomist and an Administrative Assistant.
Elia was strong willed, resilient and courageous. Those traits were a part of who Elia was, and her fortitude helped her deal with many life challenges and become a trailblazer for patient-centered care. From birth, Elia defied the odds as she suffered chronic medical issues. Yet, she always embraced each day and relished family and friends. Elia enjoyed playing games, shooting pool, gaming, arts and crafts and being at the lake and ocean with her family. She was an engineer at heart, always creating and building thoughtful and unique gifts.
Elia was a fighter and a true inspiration. She was a shining light who left an indelible mark on everyone that had the privilege to know her. Elia is now sailing on a journey to shores we can’t see. We know she is free from pain and is floating peacefully in clear blue waters with her beloved brother Stephen and sister Kate.
Elia was loved and cherished by her parents, Nancy and Hugo Borreani; sister Amanda Chaves and nephew Connor Chaves, all of Lunenburg, grandparents Mary Philbin and her partner Dorothy Hird of Harrisville, NH; Karl and Sue Larson of Goodyear, AZ; many cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends.
She is predeceased by her brother, Stephen Larson, sister Kate Borreani and grandparents Enrique Borreani and Vilma Isabel Pagliaro.
